LG 1300

The LG 1300 was initially released for Cingular. If you are looking for a compact, sleek and stylish flip phone without a ton of bells and whistles, the LG 1300 might be a good choice for you.

At first glance, the LG is indeed a very attractive phone. The outer casing is silver, with a circular mirror on front which will sometimes flasheither red or green,depending on the incoming signal. When you flip it open, you will find a modern blue backlit keypad, which seems to be all the rage these days. The ergonomics suffer somewhat as the LG1300 keypad seems to be poorly designed. It’s hard to dial numbers without accidentally pressing the neighboring buttons.

Also there does not seem to be an earphone/microphone outlet on the phone which is crucial for talking while driving. Setting up and operating the LG 1300 is verysimple, if you are an experienced mobile phone user, you will find that most tasks are pretty self-explanatory, and that you won’t need to refer to the manual much.

The major drawback to the LG 1300 is that it does not have a radio or camera. There was also a recent recall on the antennas, which prevented proper usage of the phone. Thankfully, that has been sorted out by LG and is no longer an issue. Be sure to ask about the good antenna, also known as a red antenna before you accept it.

The dual band 1300, clocking in at less than three ounces, sports a 65K color screen, text and instant messaging, 40 polyphonic sound and one-touch Internet access.
