Nokia 6200
The Nokia 6200 was first announced in November of 2002 and introduced onto the market during the first quarter of 2003. The Nokia 6200 has the classic Nokia flat phone look and is styled in conservative fashion for the business professional. This Nokia weighs in at only 80 grams, has a fairly large keypad and a brightly lit 4,096 color STN screen which make this cell phone very user-friendly.
This cell phone was significant at introduction as it was the first from Nokia which supported EDGE (Enhanced Data rate for GSM Evolution) technology. EDGE technology was said to increase data transmission rates up to two times faster than that usually found in GPRS phones at introduction. It was also the first to support 850, 1800 and 1900 frequency bands. Other Nokia 6200 Features While this phone packed many new advances in technology, Nokia also maintained some of the favorite features of past models. The first one is that the Nokia 6200 comes with a dynamic FM radio with built-in loudspeaker. With the internal speaker, local radio stations sound very good. While not perfect, the reception on these phones is quite good. The internal speaker in these cell phones also makes ring tones sound wonderful. Other useful features of this phone include voice dialing, up to 6 downloadable J2ME games and MMS messaging capabilities. Battery life is between 150 to 320 hours on standby and between 2 to 6 hours talking. The phonebook holds up to 300 names with 3 numbers and 1 test field.
